Wii - Mario Kart 64 - Virtual Console - Classic, GameCube Controllers Gimped For Mario Kart The latest fact sheet handed to Kotaku from Nintendo contains some notes on the game's four control schemes. Here's what it says for the Classic and GameCube controls:

¿ Classic Controller: Mario Kart veterans can let their thumbs do the driving with the Classic Controller. However, players cannot perform certain moves with this control scheme.

¿ Nintendo GameCube Controller: Experienced Mario Kart fans may also enjoy this familiar scheme, although some manoeuvres cannot be performed.

Wii - Mario Kart 64 - Virtual Console - Nintendo Prez Raves About Wii 'Mario Kart,' Defends 'Manhunt 2,' Shares 'Endless Ocean' Secrets Last year some people were worried that the Wii console overseen by Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime was driving some gamers to accidentally hurl their controllers through their TV screens.

A week ago, at E3, Fils-Aime helped unveil the Wii Balance Board, a bathroom-scale-shaped controller designed for Wii-enabled full-body yoga, hula-hooping and skiing video game action (see "Nintendo At E3: Mad 'Mario' Titles On The Way; Wii Zapper Could Be A Future Shock"). Might Nintendo be concerned that the Board will drive gamers to accidentally hurl themselves through their TV screens?

Wii - Mario Kart 64 - Virtual Console - Mario Kart Wii held back for early '08 The rumours were right about Mario Kart Wii showing up at E3 last week, they were wrong about it coming out this year - Nintendo tells CVG is has enough big games for Christmas and wants to hold something back for the typical New Year "void".

"For the holidays we have a huge line-up of Wii games already, including Metroid Prime 3 Corruption, Super Mario Galaxy, Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles and Pokémon Battle Revolution.

Rumors of Wii's Mario Kart turning up soon have been flying around for a while and the latest rumblings suggest the game will be out this year for the UK. N-Europe reports that "trusted sources" have revealed that the game will turn up at E3 this week. Nothing else is known about the game's release. Wii - Mario Kart 64 - Virtual Console - Rumour: Mario Kart Wii In Europe This Year  "Sources say that the Wii version of Mario Kart - which is said to be revealed at E3 - will be out this year in Europe..."The game will be shown at this year's E3, which is something that everything expects anyway. What's more is that it will be release this year in Europe. Specific details on the game are still unknown - just the planned release date and the fact that it exists is known - but we will find all that out next week anyway...
