Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games

First trailer of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games

Can Mario beat Sonic at his own game?

Mario must have been working on his running skills, because now it seems he can keep up with Sonic the lighting fast hedgehog. And we have the video evidence to prove it. Look below to see the iconic duo holding their respective flags aloft as they enter the Beijing Stadium each followed by an entourage of recognizable characters who will also be competing this winter when Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games is released for Wii and DS.

Although no other events apart from a flat-out race are shown in the video, we’re predicting all of the official Olympic events will be present and correct, possibly with a few extras thrown in for good measure. But if Sonic ever loses the 100m sprint to the tubby Italian plumber we'll eat our running shoes.
