Danny Cowan from Gamasutra writes: Gamasutra's weekly column, Saling The World, covers the top five sellers for every available platform in the United States, Japan, and Europe, providing an important update of sales patterns worldwide. According to the totally un-subtle next month page in Spanish Mag Nintendo Accion, the second Wii party game will take place at the Winter Olympics. Sounds like a no brainer to CVG, both in terms of variety (ski jumps!) and Sega's wallet.

It's the money, stupid. And enough gamers buy crappy Sonic games for Sega not to care, according to an anonymous Sega employee. Boss Rush was an anonymous blog, currently deleted, run by someone who actually turned out to be Sonic Europe employee Ben Andac (who is no longer with the company).

Despite being on retail shelves for over a year, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games is still flying out of stores, with the popular title nearing the magical mark of two million in sales. According to MCV, Sega has confirmed that sales currently stand at nearly 1.3 million on Wii and 460 000 on the Nintendo DS. Our aim is to hit two million by the end of 2008, Sega UK sales director John Clark told MCV. Only Wii Play has more lifetime sales on Wii which tells its own story. And so far this year M&S has only been outsold on Wii by Wii Fit, Wii Play and Mario Kart Wii.
