An excerpt from the latest issue of NGamer, an interview with Traveller's Tales' Arthur Parsons:

"NGamer: Do you see the wider DC universe making it into Lego form? The Justice League could be good.

Arthur Parsons: Whether any more of the DC universe makes the transition into Lego depends largely on the success of Lego Batman, and on whether Traveller's Tales, Warner Bros. and Lego want to make any other characters into Lego games. I'd love to make a sequel to Lego Batman because it was immense fun to work on."

The Light Sword, named to avoid any copyright issues, will be compatible with all Wii games. This includes Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga and the forthcoming Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

The Light Sword will be sold as a twin pack, featuring both a green and red sword for those who want to partake in duel battles, and they operate by sliding the Wii Remote into the sword's handle.

The swords, which boast motion-activated lights, will go on sale for £19.99.
So you've caused a brick-showering gunfight in the Cantina. You've abused the Force to stack up some empty beer bottles - then rolled a bowling ball through the lot of them.
Wednesday 6 June 2007
The debut images from the recently announced Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga have been jettisoned from LucasArts HQ and while we are helplessly excited about the prospect of cutting through the entire Skywalker family drama as comedic brick characters all over again - complete with new characters, new levels and online modes - we were a bit surprised to see a definite touch of the clones about one of the images.

The dubious shot shows the bikini-clad Leia tethered to a ...
The first trailer from LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga has hit the internet. Featuring plenty of gameplay, it's viewable over at LucasArts' website.

Confirmation on The Complete Saga arrived last week. Developed by Traveller's Tales, the game will let you play through all six Star Wars movies and adds new characters - such as Watto, Zam Wessell and Boss Nass - new levels and new features.

LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga is due to release on Wii, Xbox 360, PS3 and DS in the autumn.

Traveller's Tales' series of LEGO Star Wars game are great. We should all agree on that. And the series is set to explode like the Death Star across all major platforms. A release date has yet to be revealed though, but you've got to think that the run-up to Christmas is a good bet.

PS3 and 360 versions will feature online co-op and the Wii and DS versions are said to take full advantage of their unique control systems.

Jim Ward, president of LucasArts, said, "We're proud of the phenomenal ...

LucasArts and TT Games celebrated today the 30th anniversary of the classic movie series that spans generations with the announcement of LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga. Building on the success of both LEGO Star Wars "block-buster" videogames, each complete with LEGO action and minifigure humor, The Complete Saga enables families to play through the events of all six Star Wars movies in one videogame for the first time ever. Developer Traveller's Tales takes full advantage of the unique capabilities of all three next-generation consoles, while also adding new characters, new levels and new features. Players can build and battle this fall on Xbox 360, Wii, and PS3. Traveller's Tales is also creating an entirely new Nintendo DS version, developed brick by brick from the ground up.

CD Universe now accepting preorders for Complete Saga; Xbox 360 and DS versions also listed.

With Lego Star Wars and its sequel already having tackled toy-themed games of the original Star Wars trilogy and its prequel films, there's nothing left for the franchise to do but move on, applying the same to other popular property. Take Batman, for instance.

But as the wizened Muppet Jedi master Yoda might say, "No. There is another." At least, there might be another, if new product listings on CD Universe are accurate. The retail Web site has listings up for Lego Star Wars: Complete Saga on four platforms: PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360, and Nintendo DS, each with an expected November 8 release date. The same four listings have also turned up in Wal-Mart's internal database of product codes.

Judging from the name, it doesn't take a huge leap of logic to suggest these are compilation titles that include both the original Lego Star Wars as well as last year's Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy. However, of the four systems listed, only the Xbox 360 and the DS played host to versions of Lego Star Wars II, and none of them count Lego Star Wars among their libraries (although Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii can play both games through backward compatibility).
The clever, slightly off-kilter folks over at LucasArts have put together an unusual little promo for the upcoming LEGO Star Wars II: the Original Trilogy. The game's official website now enables you to choose a head, body, and leggy area from 20 of the game's characters to create your own freakish hero.

Just hit the link above, click the brick-like link that says, "create your character", and you're all set. We prefer the "mix it up" button, which chooses the ...
