There is always hope for a next-gen Indiana Jones game, LucasArts has said. Speaking to VideoGamer.com, voice director David Collins revealed that the next-gen versions of Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings, a game due out for all major platforms except the 360 and PS3, were canned because of timing and financial reasons.
HardGame2.com writes: Activision and LucasArts, have just announced the official release date for the new video of our old friend Indy, which will be on PlayStation 2, Wii, Nintendo DS and PlayStation Portable next June 12. There aren't too many details about Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings, but we hope to match from past installments in the franchise.
Spong: Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings, the next interactive outing for the whip wielding archaeologist, has slipped back to early June. Don't worry, it's not too heartbreaking for those of us who've been waiting for an Indy experience that doesn't involve ***CENSORED FOR KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL SPOILERS***. The game will now be released on June 12th for Wii, DS, PS2 and PSP. Staff of Kings had previously been listed for a May 22nd release.
