The visuals, too, aren't very slick. Instead of using the real actors or film clips, the characters you play are animated. The dance routines look quite authentic, but the stilted way they're presented doesn't. With two players, you can produce some quite decent harmonies in Duet mode, but the game part isn't too convincing or enjoyable. Basically, you might as well sing along to the CD.
