EA's just confirmed that Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be delayed until next summer. The game will ship alongside the movie of the book, instead of releasing this winter.
"Harry Potter" is a series dictated by the most popular console. First, PS One. Then, PlayStation 2. For a while, Xbox 360. But now, Wii has taken over.
WorthPlaying writes: "Warner Bros. decided to push the movie release from late 2008 to July 2009, so we asked EA about whether the game would also suffer a delay. Various sources claimed they were surprised by the news, while the producer said the announcement came at an inopportune time, indicating the game would also have to be pushed due to overlapping story lines outside of the already-released book."
EA Casual Entertainment Label and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have announced that the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince video game will be released later this year to coincide with the film based on J.K. Rowling's sixth Harry Potter book.
