UK publisher signs distribution deal for North America.
Activision has signed a distribution deal with System 3 to handle the UK publisher's forthcoming Ferrari Challenge game throughout North America.

Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli will hit shelves in late summer on PS3, PS2 Wii, DS.

"Without a doubt, this is the defining Ferrari experience for video games," said Mark Cale, CEO at System 3.

"It has been a collaboration with professionals on every level and we've truly captured the power, beauty, and excitement that is the Ferrari Challenge Series. This excitement is taken to a whole new level with the partnership of Activision's power within the North American marketplace."

System 3 and Activision will showcase Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli on PS3 to for the first time at the Montreal Grand Prix on Friday and over the weekend.

The official website of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli video game has launched at www.system3.com.

The new website contains artwork and models from the developer's drawing boards, official tips from TV personality Tiff Needell, details on tracks, screenshots, videos, a developer's journal, news, competitions, an extensive FAQ area and a comprehensive downloads section for PCs and mobile phones.

System 3 has announced that its upcoming racing simulation, Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli, will be heading for the PlayStation 2 this spring. The announcement comes ahead of a special issue of Official PlayStation Magazine, which sees Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli taking pride of place with a special wrap-around cover and Ferrari-branded packaging framing a world-exclusive preview.

System 3 has picked up the Ferrari license and is readying an ultra realistic racer, Ferrari Challenge, to hit Wii, PS3, DS and PSP. Although details are currently sketchy, Ferrari Challenge will feature an inevitably epic 16-player online mode on the PS3, while both portable versions will support 4-player wireless racing, and game-sharing (multiple players, one copy of the game).
