Anywhere you look in the world today, you'll see evidence of Sony's continuing downfall. It seems like every time someone from Sony opens his mouth, we want to twist our own heads off in disbelief. Can't that damn company go one day without embarrassing itself?
But if you think Sony's too cocky, arrogant and detached from the consumer base, you apparently weren't around for Nintendo's heyday. It was once just as influential, bossy and jerkish as Sony is today, and then some. Imagine a company
Though they probably won't feature Donald Trump shaving the head of WWE chairman Mr. McMahon like this year's WrestleMania, both the wrestling and gaming worlds are eagerly anticipating what the next round of WWE-licensed titles will hold. In much the way Vince McMahon will be more aerodynamic without his gray coiffure, the SmackDown vs. Raw series is streamlining to be even more intuitive to control while also offering more gameplay depth.

The Wii can be one noisy box. Internal whirring, the welcome chime, the clicking as you pass over the Wii channels - even the most minor of Wii sessions is a guaranteed aural bombardment. However, listen carefully and youll find that the little white box is capable of syringing hot tuneful goodness through this waxy build-up of irksome clicks and beeps - and so it is with this semi-medical purpose in mind that we present the choicest Wii musical cuts currently available. Most of them can be
Welcome to the twenty-third installment of Pokemon Radar.
With Pokemon Diamond and Pearl only two weeks away, we're in the final throes of the new Pokemon insurgency. All that's left to cover are Sinnoh's Legendaries, starting today with four new legendary Psychic Pokemon. Unlike previous games, the legendary trio this time around all have the same type and similar stats, mostly distinguished by their movesets.
Next week we'll look at five more legendary Pokemon, including Dialga and Palkia,
Let's face it, games based on films usually range from mediocre to just plain crappy. But Spider-Man 2 excused itself from following in the steps of other toss-worthy titles clinging to the coattails of the big budget movies they were based on. Swinging through the streets of Manhattan in the free-roaming sandbox title felt great, and its ties to the film franchise felt more like icing on the cake than a crutch to hook you in with a stale game.
Fast forward to today, and publisher, Activision,
It would be easy to pass off Scarface on Wii as a cynical attempt to eke more cash out of what was a very lucrative (and well received) game on PS2 and Xbox. In fact before GamesRadar was given the chance to get hands-on with the game, that's exactly what we were thinking - clumsily integrated Wii controls, identical (if not worse) graphics, a developer looking at us through sad eyes going through the motions of trying to sell a rehashed game as a new, exciting project.
But, encouragingly, we
It would be so easy for a developer to chuck in a simple bit of code as a let's-cram-a-few-extras-in afterthought with full price games and, let's face it, many have.
But we know there are those out there who really do care about us gamers and want to reward us handsomely for completing the main game. And those caring developers certainly don't want us slamming down our pads in frustrated boredom over that one tedious minigame that's preventing us from moving on to the next level.
If you get
Working as a games journalist has its good points. There's the fame, the money, the endless barrage of adoring, screaming women who follow you whenever you walk down the street... oh, wait a minute, that's being a rock star. Um... ok, well at least there's still the free stuff we get sent 'most every day.
The quality varies considerably, but there are some real gems of PR merchandising that would probably be worth loads of money on eBay. Of course, by contract we're not allowed to sell them,
GamesRadar: Let's discuss a more specific kind of customer: the fanboy. Who are the most obnoxious?
#5: I hate to stereotype, but Xbox fanboys are the worst. They've got this weird obsession with getting Linux on their consoles, but then never use Linux as their actual desktop at home; it's always Windows. I work in computers for a living now, so this kind of thing continually annoys me.
#1: Along with the "my games look and sound better than yours" mentality, the Xbox / Xbox 360 fanboys also
GamesRadar: Now let's talk about some of the personalities you interact with... starting with coworkers. What kind of conversations do you guys have?
#1: Too many to count.... a few standouts are Star Trek vs. Star Wars, best-looking chicks in a videogame and who would win in a fight... "fictional character #1" or "fictional character #2"?
#6: Yeah, Star Wars... whether or not Darth Maul was badass. Just to play devil's advocate, I had to throw Jar Jar into the mix. "Dude, Darth Maul's so
