After a string of mediocre E3 showings, expectations for Nintendo's presentation this year was tepid. But in a year dominated by motion control, fitness and dancing games, Nintendo has managed to come out with the most gold for hardcore gamers. After opening up strong with the new Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Nintendo revealed new games for Kirby, Donkey Kong, and Kid Icarus in addition to officially revealing the 3DS.

While Microsoft and Sony argue over who has the best new motion controls, Nintendo today revealed it’s already moved on to something new. We were in the Nokia theater and got to witness first-hand Nintendo’s best E3 press conference in years, and here we’ve collected the thoughts of two editors who saw it all live...
I'm not going to E3 this year. I'll be watching the whole beautiful show through my computer and from the comfort of my orthopedically approved office chair. And while I'm sad that I won't be in attendance to experience it first-hand, it also comes as a huge personal relief to know that the entire Atlantic Ocean separates me from the LA Convention Centre.
E3 might be the most exciting week in the gaming calendar, but it can also be an almighty pain-in-the-ass. These are the Top 7 reasons why.

Every weekday someone at GamesRadar takes a moment to honor a classic piece of game music, be it from consoles past or a memorable tune pulled right out of today's biggest franchise. The only problem is, there was no home for each Game Music of the Day article, and within a few weeks there were so many spread across the site that it was nearly impossible to find 'em all.
No more! Feast your ears on our compendinarium of game music! And please accept this hub as compensation for no GMOTD articles this week. It's E3, man! We won't have any time! Back to normal next week, promise.
In less than 48 hours, Microsoft's E3 2010 press conference will kick off four days of non-stop videogame insanity. We'll be there for the duration, reporting on all the latest news and announcements as fast as our withered fingers will allow, but before we fully dive into that madness, let's take a couple of minutes to look back five years at E3 2005.
Why? Because we still have the pictures. And because it's always fun to go "zomg I remember when that game came out."
We try desperately to keep our energies high as the monster that is E3 creeps up on us to rip apart our souls. So it's non-stop talk about next week's mega-convention, except for when we do stop to talk about Green Day, Metal Gear, capitalism and whiskey...
Normally, when we get our first glimpse of a game at E3, it means we’ll be seeing more of it throughout the following year. It’s where new games debut, and if we’ve been waiting to find out about a game, E3 is where the floodgates will begin to open. That’s not always the case, though – sometimes, a game will be teased or shown somewhere at the expo, and then mysteriously drop completely off the radar. It might have had a big reveal or a strong showing, but then we won’t see or hear about it again until a year later – or sometimes not at all.
Last year’s E3 was a treasure trove of games like that; some were high-profile announcements, others seemed pretty far along, but all of them have been conspicuously invisible since 2009’s show. What follows are the most notable...
Next week, GamesRadar is off to Los Angeles for the videogame event of the year. It’s like the Oscars, the Super Bowl, Christmas and the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus all rolled into one. As always, there are a ton of amazing games to look forward to, and this video is our way to share some of our excitement with you...
As in life and Uwe Boll's Postal, it's always the good that die young in video games. Playing Earthworm Jim HD recently, we suddenly started thinking about 90s characters we'd loved that slipped away into gaming obscurity long before they should have. So join us, as we hold a wake for our favourite game stars from the decade of Jar Jar Binks, who all checked out in premature or undignified fashion . Sleep well, gentle princes. You truly were too beautiful for this world <sniff>.
