Captain Olimar and his vegetable army have been noted for their absence so far on Wii, but elsewhere in this console generation the Pikmin concept found an unlikely home on Xbox 360, PC and PS3 with Codemasters’ Overlord. It’s a cross between Pikmin’s gameplay and the fantasy world of Fable, and now it’s heading for Nintendo – presumably before Miyamoto manages to create a remote-powered version of the real thing.
Ladies and gentlemen, we present the runts and rejects of the forces of darkness, the first line of defense for evil. They're kind of a joke. Nonetheless, they stand tall and straight, inches above knee level, and they bop, hop and wiggle towards any nearby heroes.

Like floral gums and Val Kilmer, we love Captain Rainbow but don’t know why. The fact that 70% of the game is impenetrable Japanese text makes it as understandable as a philosophy thesis written using a Spirograph, and yet still that universally understood language of gaming rightness shines through. Rocks go WHAM! when cleaved with a yo-yo slash. Menu screens are torn straight from a comic book.
