Fatal Frame IV (or Project Zero in Europe) is set to be another example of how the Wii dominates Japan via Nintendo-exclusivity. In this survival horror series, ghosts are your enemies; and because being incorporeal makes them resilient to sticks and stones (words will never harm them), the only way to defeat them is to take their photo, thus sealing their souls in the film. (The current iteration uses SD cards instead.)

Work on Fatal Frame IV is currently in the conceptual stage, beginning after Grasshopper Manufacture finished No More Heroes at the end of last year; so don’t be surprised if it slips into 2009. Like what you see, survival horror fans? Then take a picture; it’ll be here sooner.
