17) Guitar Hero tie

We can’t decide if this is great or crap. We wouldn’t dare wear it, lest somebody starts trying to play Knights of Cydonia on our chest. Anyway, if you’re cool/uncool enough to brave it, these ties are $30 (£15).

18) Wario’s house

In San Francisco, one of our editors spotted this flamboyant mansion and managed to convince himself that it’s where Wario lives. Well, it has purple bits on it. He didn’t have the balls to knock on the door and find out.

19) Megaman stained glass

Staining glass? The devil’s work! Glass is supposed to be clear - or maybe brown or green, depending on what kind of beverage is in it. Still, when the results are as impressive as this, we’ll have to admit there’s a place in the world for ornamental glass of many colours. Somebody should put this stuff in windows.

20) Fan Metroid

Everyone’s yearning for a new 2D Metroid - some people want it so much that they’ve started making their own. Check out the trailer. It’s good, but we’d rather Nintendo did the design work here.
