Time traveling with Link

See how 20 years of adventuring has transformed Link from a tiny sprite into the man he is today

Words: James Jarvis

Zelda II: The Adventure of Link threw up a major change in gameplay from the original. It moved away from the top down perspective that gamers were familiar with and introduced a side-scrolling element.

Also added into the game were some basic RPG elements. This may only have involved an experience point and magic system, but both had to be thoughtfully managed if you were going to have any chance of defeating the later bosses in the game.
