Vulpix is an undeniably cute fox Pokemon, but when you look at its attack and special attack stats against Growlithe, Vulpix comes up way short. Both have a lot of powerful fire-based moves, but the raw power just isn't there. As a slight counterbalance, Vulpix has two Ghost-type moves, two Psychic and a Dark as well - a bit more variation than the more fire-minded Growlithe.
