With so much emphasis on Pikachu, it's easy to forget Raichu even exists. To make matters worse, it doesn't learn any moves on its own, forcing trainers to keep using Pikachu until he's learned all the necessary moves. An involved evolution (requiring a Thunderstone) doesn't help either. There is of course a stat boost from pushing Pikachu along, but is it enough incentive to give up the world's most famous mouse?
