Ekans, an early Team Rocket favorite, is another quick-to-grow Pokemon that you can use and abuse early on. Its many status effect and poison moves can make life miserable for opponents, but that's practically all it's good for - Bite is pretty much the only useful attack it's going to learn. Fun fact: Ekans is Snake backwards.
