Putting the Wii in Windows

How to use Nintendo's Wiimote on your PC

Words: GamesRadar UK

These days, you can’t release anything technological without it being hacked, retrofitted and some new function drawn out of it.

The Bluetooth basis of Nintendo’s motion-sensing Wiimote control made it a prime candidate for retro-engineers, and they’ve already got it working on the PC. Fancy physically slashing your way through Half-Life 2, or strumming an imaginary instrument? Now you can.

This is just the start - already the fiddlers at www.wiili.org are making lightsaber mods, remotely controlling cars and are starting to read the Nunchuck controller (the Wiimote’s control stick add-on). Keep an eye on the website – it may turn the PC on its head.
