Pokemusings, week 47

More strange moves - Fling, Water Spout and Gyro Ball

Words: Raymond Padilla, GamesRadar US

Gyro Ball's damage uses the following formula: 25 X enemy Speed/user Speed. So if the target's Speed is 200 and the attacker's Speed is 50 then Gyro Ball will hit for base 100. In the hands of slower Steel Pokemon, this move can be wicked thanks to the STAB damage. Bronzong, Magnezone, and Steelix can pack quite a wallop with Gyro Ball.

Above: Darkrai is here!!!

Okay, we've already told you various ways to set up Darkrai for maximum awesomeness, but if you can't make it out to Toys 'R Us or if you don't live anywhere near one then we have the next best thing. This week we're giving away a Darkrai! This special Darkrai comes from Japan and was part of last year's movie giveaway. For a chance to win this ultra-special and ultra-rare Pokemon, head on over to our Pokemon general discussion forums and look for a thread called "Pokemusings #47: Win a Darkrai!!!" Stay tuned for next week's issue where we'll be taking a special look at another new legendary: Shaymin!
