Pokemusings, week 46

Understanding three strange moves - Grass Knot, Punishment and Trump Card

Words: Raymond Padilla, GamesRadar US

In terms of usefulness, Trump Card is the opposite of Punishment. You don't really have the time to whittle away Trump Card's PP in most competitive battles, but in story mode you can just fight a few wild Pokemon so that the move's PP is always at one. Then you can save it for important fights where the 190 base damage wrecks your enemy. Another cool bonus about Trump Card is that it behaves like Aerial Ace in that lowered evasiveness does not change its accuracy.

This week's Pokemusings prize is a fearsome Groudon. As Cliff Clavin would say, "It's a little known fact that Groudon weighs 2,094.4 pounds." Groudon's hefty weight makes him a perfect recipient for Grass Knot's mighty power. For a chance to win Groudon (and learn who Cliff Clavin is), head on over to our Pokemon general discussion boards, and look for a thread called "Pokemusings #46: Win a Groudon!!!"
