Fark.comHelping Hand gives an attack boost to its partner. The great thing about this move is that it precedes all other attacks, regardless of the Pokemon's Speed stat. This is a great move for a Water Absorb Vaporeon. In addition to boosting its partner's Surf for higher damage, Vaporeon will just sit back and soak up some hit points. Similarly, Helping Hand can be used by Jolteon to boost a Discharge while it soaks up health with Volt Absorb and by Flareon to boost a Lava Plume while getting a fire boost with Flash Fire.
