4Gamers.be: Today, the franchise F-Zero celebrates its 20th anniversary. The first game, F-Zero, was released on 21th November 1990 on SNES. The Belgian website 4Gamers made an overview of the series.

With the German WDR Rundfunkorchester Köln, video game concerts finally find their way to Europe. The upcoming Symphonic Legends concert in September is so popular that it was already sold out at the beginning of this year. Because of the huge demand, WDR and Nintendo Germany now announced a livestream for the music event.

A new F-Zero Wii game is said to be unveiled by Nintendo at the E3 Summit 2008 on July 15-17th, currently it's codenamed F-Zero Z. Expect the racing game to have been developed internally at Nintendo, since Shigeru Miyamoto commented Sega's F-Zero GX did not deliver.

German site Planet-Nintendo has now admitted that it's report pertaining to a Wii version of F-Zero - entitled F-Zero Z - was a late April Fool. Hilarious. VG247 reported on it yesterday. But it's not real. So that's that.

According to German site Planet Nintendo, Nintendo is planning an F-Zero game - titled F-Zero Z - for Wii. The original F-Zero first appeared in 1992 (Europe) on the SNES and recently made a comeback on Nintendo's Virtual Console. No other details were given other than that the game would be shown off at this year's E3. Apparently.
ESRB, the software ratings board, has dropped another Virtual Console-related bomb this month, revealing in its latest listings that F-Zero X is on its way to the Wii download service.
We hope Nintendo gets a move on with this one, because the Wii has been out for over half a year and only four N64 games have appeared on the service. The wait for some of our favorite games of all time is killing us (bring on the Pilotwings 64, Nintendo).
