Numerous statements from Nintendo of America spokesman have echoed the same sentiment about the fate of Disaster: Day of Crisis in North America: Wait and see how the game performs in Europe. At this point, it's no secret that the game has sold rather poorly, which would lead one to believe that the game has a small chance of coming stateside. Strangely though, an email from a Nintendo customer representative may indicate otherwise...

Monolith Soft revealed a plethora of details regarding future games. As could be surmised based on sales charts, Disaster: Day of Crisis has not sold very well at all. Nintendo producer Hitoshi Yamagami has stated that the game is performing lower than expected.

Even though Disaster: Day of Crisis is anything but a disaster as far as the actual game goes, much drama has taken place, which, oddly enough, has been created by Nintendo. The whole game, as most know by now, is completely voiced over in English. Yet believe it or not the game still has no release date in North America and the latest news is a strong indication that the game may never arrive in North American shores...

From N-Europe.com: Register your interest for the title in your Club Nintendo account, and if you register the included Stars code within two weeks of the game's release you'll receive another 50 Stars on top of the 250 Stars you get with the game. However, be warned - if you keep registering your interest for several titles but fail to register the code on time, Nintendo will come round to your house and destroy your computer with their proton packs, disabling your access to Stars Bonuses.

What's going on with Disaster: Day of Crisis for North America? With seemingly no presence of Disaster at Nintendo's event, it came down to our crack team of covert journalists (they're the guys waving) to get to the bottom of things. And when they caught up with Reggie Fils-Aime, alongside Mark Bozan of IGN, the question was put forth to the Nintendo of America President. He is going to be reading this very post upon which your eyes are laid, and he will be taking note of what people want to see in regards to Disaster (so no calling out for Captain Rainbow... though that would be good, too). If you're interested in having a Day of Crisis of your very own, then do respond below.

Monolithsoft, the developers of Disaster: Day of Crisis, was originally approached by Nintendo back in early 2006 and was asked if the team could deliver an epic game in nine months, the time at which Wii would launch. Monolith accepted the task as is already known, but the team eventually hit a bump in the road...

Disaster: Day of Crisis has received almost no publicity. No one, including gamers, were not even aware that the game would be releasing this year until a few weeks ago. Even so, the game hasn't sold terribly in Japan. First day sales for the game have reported to be around 10,000. Other Nintendo titles include Knights in the Knightmare (DS, 10,000) and World Destruction (DS, 43,000).
