Cursed Mountain

Cursed Mountain was released for the Wii on August 25, 2009 with a MSRP of $49.99. The game was developed by Deep Silver - Vienna and published by Deep Silver/Koch Media, but the Deep Silver Vienna studio office was closed in early 2010 and I believe Cursed Mountain was the only game developed/shipped from the studio. Cursed Mountain received a Mature rating from the ESRB with Blood, Sexual Themes, Violence listed as content for gamers/parents to be aware of, and it is described as a survival horror game. How many hours have Wii owners spent in the freezing Himalayas with Cursed Mountain during the last 713 days reported? Let's take a look!, writes CoffeeWithGames.

Deep Silver Inc. today released the final box cover art for Cursed Mountain. It's not as in-your-face disturbing as the UK/PAL cover. The character on the US cover reaches out for your helping hand as hopefully you'll reach out and pickup this game for the Wii. Here's another M-rated exclusive Wii game to look forward to, this one based on survival horror gameplay.

Colette Bennett@Destructoid writes: Of you follow survival horror news, you're probably already aware of the bold statement I made about Cursed Mountain having the potential to become the best survival horror title of the year. I recently heard from Deep Silver in regards to the final box art for the title, and was rather surprised to see that instead of the demonic face as seen on the box on the official website, instead the art has been changed to protagonist Eric Simmons clawing his way away from a frightning-looking apparition (the full size art is in the gallery). I have to admit I find this art a little less creepy than the face that graced the original announcement, but I still have confidence that this game could really deliver what I'm looking for. It's slated for an August 25th release date and is exclusive to the Nintendo Wii. Is it still on your do want list?
