Call of Duty 3

Also known as: CoD 3

With that out of the way... well, this is still Call of Duty 3, only not as pretty as on PS3 or 360. The Wii's much-booed disinterest in graphics doesn't much hamper the gameplay, however. Though you can't see as far thanks to the reduced draw distance and smoke doesn't look nearly as impressive, there's still an overwhelming amount of action, and for a first-gen translation of a 360 game down to the Wii or an enhanced port of the Xbox version (whichever it actually is), this looks fine.

Help is needed in the minigame segments, however. On other systems, the melee combat minigame sometimes feels forced and a bit awkward. Here, when you're punching the air like a rock-em-sock-em robot trying to fight off a pre-programmed Nazi soldier, the action is just silly, and the motion-sensing control isn't reliable enough. But driving, which has you steer by holding the remote and nunchuck like the three and nine-o'clock positions on a steering wheel, generally works quite well.
