Nour Polloni, Producer of Eden Games, answers the questions about Alone In The Dark 5 submitted on official Atari forum.
Eden Games hopes to get straight on with another Alone in the Dark game once the current one ships, according to producer Nour Polloni.
The French Newspaper Les Echos has an exclusive interview with Patrick Lelue where they talk about Alone in the Dark which is set to be released on the Xbox 360, PS3, PC, Wii and PS2. In this interview Lelue reveals that Alone in the Dark will be released in May, giving it a different release date shown on Nintendo's recent American release date list.
Sure, you know Alone in the Dark 5 is coming. You also probably know that, while the protagonist's name is Edward Carnaby, he has absolutely nothing in common with the original, more dapper Carnaby of the first game. But what else do you know about the game? Not much, I'll tell you, because for a game that was supposed to be coming in March (itself a delay from a 2007 release), we've not heard much new info for a while. So don't act too surprised, then, at news it's been delayed for a second time, this time to September. Bummer.
What was once a teaser web site for Atari's horror title Alone in the Dark has now been updated with additional media and info, giving us a better idea of what to expect from the game. Also, thanks to a brief word from the official Atari Europe Forums, the release date for the game was narrowed down:
Atari has just started its viral marketing campaign for Alone in the Dark as the mysterious website www.centraldark.com was launched. Atari sent out a press release with nothing more than this link. On the website, you can view a trailer which tells the story of what mystery lies under the ground of Central Park in New York. Beneath the trailer, however, there is a countdown which reaches zero on December 13.
PS2 and Wii have joined the platforms (PC, Xbox 360 and PS3) set to receive the new Alone in the Dark game from Atari.
