Wii U: Nintendo’s useful guide to Nintendo Network, Miiverse, and other console features, is useful

Nintendo has released a useful Wii U video guide covering Nintendo Network, Miiverse, and other hardware features. If you’ve been paying close attention to everything Wii U, then you can probably skip it. But if you haven’t, the video is useful and especially worth a watch for anyone picking up a Wii U when it launches in the US on 18 November (that’s this Sunday).

Wii U launches in the US 18 November, and in Europe and Australia 30 November.

Can't fault Nintendo's execution on hardware, very slick. Really think though that with the Miiverse they've over engineered a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. Are people actually going to stop gaming to hand type/draw messages to each other? Can't see it being used beyond dick drawings myself.

Good video but why is the guy giving an orange a creepy look at the end. Its quite scary and then he says that he wants to meet us on the Miiverse with a creepy grin. I hope I missed out on some previous joke or something or else that would be quite random. Any idea Cundy?

You did miss out on a previous joke it seems. In another Nintendo direct recently, Satoru Iwata did the same thing with a bunch of bananas. The scene just cut to him staring at them for a while, then he continued as if nothing happened. Just like Trinen did in this one. I thought it was a cool reference. The fact that they do stuff like this, and reference memes like Reggie's body and its state of readiness, is pretty cool. Shows they're in it for the fun.

Haha, I thought I was missing out on something! Props to Nintendo for being as weird and wonderful as they usually are!
