What's your most prized Achievement or Trophy of 2008?

Justin Towell – Content Editor, GamesRadar UK
Game:
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (360)
Achievement: Xbox Live Racer
Why: "Not because this one is anything special, but because it was the last one to complete the set - 200/200 on BOTH Sonic games. Yup, including Perfect Win on Sonic 1 where you complete it on one life (which would have been my answer but I got it last summer). I haven't 100%ed any other 360 games - no achievement whoring for me - but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do."

Ben Robinson - Technical Disc Production Assistant, Official Xbox Magazine UK
Game:
GTA IV (360)
Achievement: Keys to the City
Why: "60 hours and 200 pigeons!"

Andy Kelly – Staff Writer, PSM3
Game: Warhawk (PS3)
Trophy: Dead Eye (snipe someone from 2,500 feet away)
Why: "Because I did it while hovering in mid-air with a jetpack, which may be the most stylish virtual murder I’ve ever committed. That and the fact that it was a one-in-a-million chance that I doubt I’d ever be able to intentionally recreate. The fact that my target exacted his revenge a few minutes later with the sharp end of a knife didn’t detract from the magical feeling of accomplishment."

Martin Davies – Staff Writer on Edge
Game: Geometry Wars 2 (360)
Achievement: Wax off
Why: "Well, it's just difficult, isn't it?"

Geraint Evans – Deputy Editor, GamesMaster
Game:
Fable 2 (360)
Achievement: The Hero of Will/Skill/Strength
Why: "I got all three endings in Fable, just from playing it far too much, as opposed to being any good at it."

Ryan King - Online Editor, Official Xbox 360 Magazine
Game:
Left 4 Dead (360)
Achievement: Zombicidal Maniac
Why: "Because completing any chapter on Left 4 Dead's Expert mode is hair-pullingly, teeth-bitingly, friends-losingly hard. It was made even sweeter by the fact I got killed just before clambering into the escape van and still got the achievement, while fellow staffie and team-mate Ben didn't. Gutted!"

Matt Cundy – Associate Editor, GamesRadar
Game: GTA IV (360)
Achievement: Chain Reaction
Why: "I spent hours setting up road blocks with buses in Star Junction and then unloading RPGs and grenades into the vehicular pile-up, but every bloody time I'd either die or get busted by the cops. So like a true champion I gave up. Then, on one pointless rampage and without even trying, I completely fluked snagging the achievement. Proof that quitters can be winners."

Ben Talbot: Community Editor, OXM
Game: Lost Planet (360)
Achievement: Extreme Soldier
Why: "Lost Planet's Extreme Mode takes away all the vehicles, makes your health tick down at lightning speed and makes the enemies super-tough. It took me over six hours just to beat the level one boss, and there were still ten more levels after that."

Matthew Keast: Associate Editor, UK mag ports, GamesRadar US
Game: Gears of War 2 (360)
Achievement: Artist of War
Why: "This was the first time ever that I've played a game on Hard mode from the very beginning. On top of that, I've never played Gears 1! It was a bit of a challenge, but also a lot of fun, as it increased the danger factor. I shall play (almost) all games on Hard mode from now on!"

Greg Macgregor – Production Editor, GamesMaster
Game: Left 4 Dead (360)
Achievement: Burn the Witch
"It's not the greatest achievement because anyone can do it, but it was just funny at the time, to be online with my team and suddenly see the witch come screaming past. Alight."

Mine was definitely earning the Two for One on Halow 3...i was detirmined not to cheat or ask for help or do the chinese thing, even though all my friends had the achievement cuz of it.....and then....one fateful day...on a Lone Wolves slayer match....had a laser...aimed at one guy....another one popped out...BOOM....and just like that, the hardest achievement in Halo was mine XD...and after i got it, i didn't care about the winning the game, i was so happy haha

Ok first of all Seriously 2.0 isn't really that great. It's an achievement where you can just run through the same achievement over and over game and eventually get it. It's not hard just annoyingly time consuming. Also Mile High Club from COD4 is not hard on veteran. All you have to do is pay attention to what you're doing, Place your flashbangs precisely, and pick up the P90 and Shotgun they will save your ass. Use the P90 on the bottom floor of the plane and the first part of the top level. Then switch to a fully loaded shotgun after throwing a flashbang in the room with the final corridor and go to work. When you get to the hostage situation just bust him in the top of the head and you're home free for victory. It's simple just be patient and only pay attention to the clock if you have to. Ok for me I have a few different ones: Dead Space 1000/1000-That was cool to complete so I could finally rid myself of that game. Mirror's Edge 1000/1000-It was easily one of the best games I went for to complete all the achievements. Even though numerous times I was pissed that I couldn't get the time trials right it was a very engrossing and rewarding experience when I achieved something in Mirror's Edge. It was a love/hate relationship, but l fall to the initial love of the game more than hate. Anyone who hasn't played Mirror's Edge get your broke ass off the couch and rent it or buy it. Whatever floats your boat, but you need to play it. Call of Duty:World at War 1000/1000-For the simple fact the game is a piece of annoying excrement it was a great feeling when I destroyed Heart of the Reich. All else was quite easy in that game minus the stupid useless prestige achievements that I didn't waste a minute on. Since COD:WaW multiplayer is broken with the prey and spray game play and all the stupid level glitches, It blows. Mega Man 9-Although I haven't completed all the achievements-Been too busy trying to get a top score on the leaderboard for most screens cleared on Endless Attack-I can't deny that getting the achievements for that game is kick ass. For the simple fact that the Blue Bomber is one of the best video game characters of all time. Last, Best Hope for Humanity (Fallout 3)- By reaching the highest level in the game with good karma was cool. It kind of shows that I'm not a villainous, malicious prick. There are many great achievements. Some hard some that come off straight-forwardly annoying I.E. Seriously 2.0 they do make a game that much more enticing.
