    For Magikarp, it is impossible to to know what it taste like since in pokemon season 1 episode 16: Pokemon Shipwrecked (about 17 mins and 20 seconds into it), Misty clearly points out, as well as the pokedex, that Magikarp are only scales and bones rendering that as completely inedible since there is nothing to eat from it so it is pretty much useless until its a Gyarados
