Microsoft's Major Nelson (aka Larry Hryb) may have had his tongue firmly in cheek when he told HipHopGamer that Sony are welcome to license Xbox Live for use on PlayStation 3, but it's probably true. It would actually make for a wonderful gaming experience as 360 and PS3 players face off in the likes of Modern Warfare 2.
All Sony would need to do is pay a fee, like a franchisee. Then they could forget about all that bothersome 'free PSN' malarkey. Potentially, it's just a phone call away...
