What if GTA IV was a gay romantic comedy?

Here at GamesRadar, we believe in asking, and then answering, the tough questions that no-one else is asking. Take GTA IV, for example. Players and critics alike lauded Rockstar’s hyperviolent ode to the savage desolation of the human soul, the gritty tale of gangster vengeance that unfolds as Niko struggles with his inner demons. Good stuff, for sure – Joseph Conrad couldn’t do better.  But it’s a bit gloomy, don’t you think? What we here in Americuh need is some fanciful, candy-coated escapism to keep our minds off the various crises threatening to engulf us. Why not retread GTA IV as a light-hearted romantic comedy? Maybe with Seth Rogen and Paul Rudd in the leading roles? And while we’re at it, why not give it the Brokeback Mountain treatment? If it worked for Jake and Heath, it should work for Niko and Brucie. We knew that as soon as we proposed such an awesome idea you’d be dying to see it, so we went ahead and cut a trailer for Liberty City Lovers. Now forget about the financial crisis, gas prices, melting icecaps, endless war, freshwater shortages, terrorism (domestic and abroad), health care, unemployment, corporate political influence, stray nukes, et al. and enjoy the show!

The PC version ships with an awesome video editor. There will be all kinds of machinima possibilities - maybe we should do Liberty City Lovers as a recurring episodic show? What do you think?

Things like this make me proud to be a gamer, let me know that life will be ok, and provide answers for the deepest questions life can offer.

Oh god that was funny (and uncomfortable) as hell...I don't feel like taking Brucie to a strip club anymore though...or take him anywhere for that matter.
