• See the new World’s End trilogy trailer. The third part in Edgar Wright’s Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy sees Simon Pegg and Nick Frost take on an army of robots. The World’s End will be released on 23 August. [Via The Wrap ]

Bioshock creator Ken Levine has been given the writing duties by Warner Bros. for the languishing remake of the cult sci-fi film, Logan’s Run . This may be the boost the project needs to get it off the ground. [Via Deadline ]

• Despite the fact Pacific Rim isn’t even in cinemas yet, director Guillermo Del Toro has revealed that a sequel is in the planning stages. Legendary are being a bit more cautious saying they will have to wait to see how the first one performs. [Via Deadline ]

• Greg Berlanti, executive producer on Arrow , has signed on to direct Epsilon . Set after a failed robot rebellion in a world where electronics are no longer used, Epsilon is written by Zombieland scriptwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. [Via The Hollywood Reporter ]

• February 2014 will see the release of The LEGO Movie where Emmet, your average Lego figure, is hurled into a heroic quest. Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will join him. The film is directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller ( Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs ):

• The adaptation of The Maze Runner , Jame’s Dasher’s best-selling novel, has included Patricia Clarkson to its cast. Playing Chancellor Ava Paige, Clarkson will appear alongside Teen Wolf ’s Dylan O’Brien. The Maze Runner is scheduled for February 2014. [Via Coming Soon ]

• Following news of its postponement, it has been revealed that Jurassic Park IV has been targeted for a 2015 release. It will be shot in 3D, welcome news for people concerned it would be converted in postproduction. [Via Collider ]

• According to Collider , Christopher Nolan originally disagreed with David Goyer over the climax to Superman’s fight with General Zod in Man Of Steel . Don’t worry, if you haven’t seen it yet, we won’t give it away, but you can find the full spoiler-filled explanation behind the link.

• There have been several behind-the-scene teases from director Bryan Singer on the set of X-Men: Days of Future Past . The latest photo revealed shows the script of a speech by President Nixon. We can read two lines: “Today we face the gravest threat in our history. What the world witnessed in Paris was not an isolated incident…” We’ll have to wait until 18 July 2014 to hear the rest of it.
