Quantum Of Solace and Finding Neverland director Marc Forster is in the frame to helm a new SF thriller called The Runner , according to Deadline . The script, which has been bought by Disney, sounds like The Terminator without the Terminator to us: a man from a post-apocalyptic future is sent back in time to prevent the apocalypse from happening. The main twist here seems to be that he also has a secret plan to save the love of his life. There are plans to simultaneously develop the franchise for TV, video games, graphic novels, and interactive content for hand held and mobile devices.

Director Kevin Tancharoen has Tweeted more photos from the Vancouver set of the Mortal Kombat digital series, starring Michael Jai White (Jax), Jeri Ryan (Sonya) and Darren Shahlavi (Kano). The series is an anthology of multiple live action shorts, each episode providing never-before-revealed insights into characters featured in the upcoming videogame as well as the game's universe.
