Nicholas Hoult Set For A Zombie Romance
Yes, someone’s attempting to do a Twilight for zombies. Well, the book, Warm Bodies , by Isaac Marion is already out there, and writer/director Jonathan Levine is adapting it for Twilight production company Summit. And now, according to Coming Soon , Nicholas Hoult ( About A Boy , Beast in X-Men: First Class , Bryan Singer’s up upcoming Jack The Giant Killer ) has signed on to star. The book is about a self-aware zombie who begins an unlikely friendship with the girlfriend of one of his victims.

Zombies, Vampires, Aliens… Yes, Everything And The Kitchen Sink
American actor/comedian Jonah Hill will make his feature film directorial debut with Kitchen Sink , a film so-titled because… well, it features zombies, vampires and aliens, so you take a guess. The film is about the unlikely alliance between a high school bloodsucker, one of the walking dead and a human as they try to save their town from invading aliens. On Deadline , producer Matt Tolmach, reveals, “It’s more in the spirit of The Breakfast Club than anything, but you get an idea of the title in an early scene where two kids are running from zombies. Those zombies suddenly are attacked by vampires. Just when they are all facing off, there’s a bright light overhead. You realise the aliens have landed and these groups have to band together, suppress the urge to kill each other, and it becomes thematically the enemy of my enemy is my friend.”

Peter Pan: The Origin. Again
Over here in the UK Sky is putting the finishing touches to Neverland , the channel’s mini-series prequel to Peter Pan which airs later this spring. But they’re not the only one who’ve had the idea. According to The Hollywood Reporter , actor Channing Tatum ( GI Joe: The Rise Of Cobra ), screenwriter Billy Ray ( Shattered Glass , Breach ) and producer Joe Roth ( Alice In Wonderland ) have put together a proposal for a Peter Pan origin movie which they are currently shipping round Hollywood looking for takers. The site describes it as very attractive package.

RoboCop Director, Maybe?
Deadline is reporting that MGM is in negotiations with Brazilian director Jose Padilha ( Elite Squad , Elite Squad II ) to direct the remake of Paul Verhoeven’s 1987 film RoboCop . Presumably if talks break down he’ll make Elite Squad III . Darren Aronofsky ( Black Swan ) was once attached to the remake, but sadly that was never to be.
