Watch this Zelda: Breath of the Wild unboxing and imagine the "nice, heavy feel" of its tiny Master Sword

Problem: you want a Master Sword but you don't want an actual sword lying around the house for somebody to poke their eye out with. Solution: you buy The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Limited Edition and get a dagger-sized model of the legendary sword, safely (and permanently) stuck inside of its pedestal. Everybody wins, as series producer Eiji Aonuma demonstrates in this official unboxing video from Nintendo.

This video is specifically for the UK version of the game, but the contents are all the same worldwide aside from some minor packaging differences. It looks like a lovely little model even if we'll just have to trust Aonuma about the "nice, heavy feel" for now. We're so used to seeing the Master Sword pristine and shining, its own immutable constant across all of Zelda, that the rust spots and wildflower immediately ground it as part and parcel of the new Hyrule. I can't wait to find it in the game.

Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo.
