Watch the creepy first trailer for M. Night Shyamalans The Visit

The first trailer has arrived for M. Night Shyamalan’s sinister thriller, The Visit, in which a pair of young kids head off to stay with their grandparents, only to discover there something very, very wrong with them.

“Bedtime here is 9.30,” says Peter McRobbie’s unsettling grandfather. “It’s probably best you two shouldn’t come out of your room after that.” And to be fair to the old boy, from the looks of this trailer it’s probably sound advice.

Take a look at the new trailer, below…

There’s a bit of a fairytale vibe about this one, particularly when the grandmother insists the children get into the oven to clean it. Hope you left a trail of breadcrumbs on your way in, kids…

Directed by Shyamalan and co-starring Kathryn Hahn, Ed Oxenbould and Olivia DeJonge, The Visit will open in the UK and US on 11 September 2015.
