Walter White may appear in Better Call Saul

Vince Gilligan has been discussing the future of Breaking Bad spin-off Better Call Saul, and has suggested that he is open to including Walter White at some stage, although not in the second series…

Gilligan told New York Daily News that it would be “great” to have Walter White appear in the show, while stressing that any such appearance would have to be “fitting and organic to the storytelling of Better Call Saul.” He then went on to make it clear White would not be introduced in the upcoming second season, which will still be focusing squarely on the transformation of James McGill into Saul Goodman.

It would be interesting to see just how Gilligan could satisfyingly introduce White into the show’s narrative, given that prior to the events of Breaking Bad, he was just an average chemistry teacher. Without knowing what Gilligan has up his sleeve, a brief cameo seems more likely than a fully-fledged character arc.
