Vincent DOnofrio is Kingpin in Daredevil TV show

Marvel’s Daredevil TV show has found its Kingpin, with Vincent D’Onofrio signing on to play the classic villain in the forthcoming Netflix project.

According to Marvel’s official blurb, D’Onofrio will play the character as, “a powerful businessman whose interests in the future of Hell’s Kitchen will bring him into conflict with the blind attorney Matt Murdock and his alter ego Daredevil.”

It sounds as though Kingpin will be the primary antagonist of the series’ 13-episode run, although we’d expect to see a host of other villains popping up along the way.

Daredevil recently suffered a blow in losing showrunner Drew Goddard to his Sinister Six commitments, but with Steven S. DeKnight now installed as his replacement, things seem to be back up and running again.

Starring Charlie Cox as the titular crime-fighter, Daredevil will begin production in New York over the summer, with a release date scheduled for 2015.
