Vin Diesel has posted the first image from The Last Witch Hunter online, to celebrate the fact that production is now underway on Breck Eisner’s fantasy adventure.
The new film sees Diesel play an immortal witch hunter, charged with stopping the witch covens of New York from unleashing a deadly plague upon humanity.
However, he won’t be able to do it alone, and is forced to team up with one of his natural foes, a witch played by Game Of Thrones star Rose Leslie.
The new image doesn’t give too much away, but it does show Diesel looking suitably gruff and grizzled, as befits a character who has lived through many centuries…
Directed by Eisner and co-starring Elijah Wood and Michael Caine, The Last Witch Hunter has yet to receive an official release date, but is expected to arrive some time in 2016.
