The SFX Weekender and the Superbowl, it’s been a busy week in Twitsville.
Feeling tired, achy and just a wee bit hungover? Then you spent the weekend at a Pontins in Camber Sands where the SFX Weekender blew your socks off. We’ll have a full report in issue 207, but for now you can head over to the forum where SFX ’s marvellous forumites are uploading hundreds of, no-doubt incriminating, pictures as we speak, or do a handy search for #SFXweekender, to catch up on what the galaxy’s greatest collection of sci-fi fans had to say.
Special mention, however, needs to go to the lovely Russell Tovey, who dazzled on the stage for a Q&A alongside Being Human creator Toby Whithouse, before receiving the Cult Hero award at the SFX Sci-fi Awards 2011. His reaction:
@ russelltovey One of the proudest days of my life x x x
I've had a really lovely day - Thank you SFX magazine and all your disciples!! X x
*Sniff*. We also particularly like the spot Russell picked out for his award, better than a boring old mantelpiece anyday:
Me award in me bathroom x http://yfrog.com/h2ee2tkj

@ jamesmoran Me and Pat Sharp. One of us is wearing fake tan. BUT WHICH ONE?? http://twitpic.com/3x7mhd x
@ DamonLindelof Man, the music during that SUPER 8 spot really brought me back in all the right ways. And no, I don't know any more about it than you do.
@ BrianJacobSmith left to shoot, but it'll go by quick. Then its pilot season, and hopefully an SGU movie. No promises, but dreams do come true!
@ NoelClarke Super Mario Galaxy 2 is the only thing that's keeping the Wii alive. And it hurts me to say that as i'm a die hard Nintendo fan.
@ jaimepaglia Looking like June. Unofficially. RT @ Mr_Brian_A : @ jaimepaglia Can you divulge when the next season of Eureka will air?
@ simonpegg @ SFXmagazine Many thanks for the great cover. Just saw it finally. A Brit mag supporting a Brit film. Refreshing!
@ leeunkrich How to impress the people who hire at Pixar. http://vimeo.com/19368587 (via @ cathicks ) x
@ ZacharyLevi I hope my kid is like this. Just less Empire and more Rebel Alliance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R55e-uHQna0
@ jumblejim There's no bromance between me and Misha. He called me a DILF in hopes of getting me some action. He's my wing man. And a hopeless optimist
@ Paul_Cornell I don't mind Superman being a Brit. But I wouldn't like American Doctor. Sheer parochialism on my part. Weird no one cared about Batman.
@ JimCameron I met Chris Nolan at the DGA awards %26 told him how much Inception blew me away. He should've gotten an Oscar nom but there's never justice
@ bonniegrrl Aqua Lad! Posh Arrow! Iron Berk! Cat-Chav! The Green Geezer! Knackered Fury! Wonder Nutter! #BritishSuperheroes
