Stargate producer Dean Devlin has dropped some more tantalising clues in the breadcrumb trail that will hopefully lead to a successful franchise reboot. You’d think Simon Kinberg and Bryan Singer would be taking a well-deserved break after their success with X-Men: Days of Future Past , but according to this image posted by Singer, work on the sequel is already well underway. Movie streaming giant Netflix has decided to purge some of its large collection - and that includes several of its classic science fiction movies. Peter Capaldi and his magnificent red-lined coat have been spotted in the centre of Cardiff , but they weren’t there to grab a latte and catch a film - far from it. The new Doctor is battling Cybermen and encountering Green Wing 's Michelle Gomez, who's looking a bit like an evil Mary Poppins in these pics. Gomez’s character The Gatekeeper of the Nethersphere will join the more familiar faces of Jemma Redgrave and Ingrid Oliver, whose roles as UNIT operatives played an important part in The Day of The Doctor .

We didn’t get to see much of it, aside from a brief trailer, but Hieroglyph , FOX’s ancient Egyptian answer to Game of Thrones , has been cancelled even before it's aired!
