• Fox has given us a first look at Sean Pertwee in costume as Gotham ’s Alfred Pennyworth, and we reckon it looks like he's arriving at Wayne Manor via Downton Abbey. The network released the official character image on Monday from the up-coming show that covers the early days of commissioner-to-be James Gordon. The cast also includes Ben McKenzie as Commissioner Gordon, David Mazouz as a young Bruce Wayne, Jada Pinkett Smith as Fish Mooney and Camren Bicondova as a young Selina Kyle. (Thanks to Variety .)

io9 have seen the first footage from Michael Bay’s live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot, after Paramount revealed the footage at CinemaCon 2014. Apparently the new turtles look like “gigantic green babies” and were created by Shredder and April O’Neil’s father. Cue fandom meltdown as the backstory is changed.

The Wrap is reporting that Green Lantern scribe Michael Green may be working on a rewrite of Ridley Scott’s Prometheus sequel. Jack Paglen ( Transcendence ) wrote the original draft, which looks to be featuring multiple versions of Michael Fassbender’s android David. However, Fox has so far released no official details of the films plot or title. Green has previously worked with Scott on the script for a new Blade Runner film.

• Warner has released new footage from upcoming Tom Cruise vehicle Edge Of Tomorrow . The sci-fi thriller from Bourne Identity director Doug Liman stars Cruise and Emily Blunt as soldiers trapped in a time loop while fighting an alien menace. It's released on 30 May 2014.

• And finally, the first on-set first images of Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen in Avengers: Age of Ultron have found their way onto the internet. The pair are set to play new additions Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, a brother-and-sister team who, in the comics, are the children of Magneto. There’s also a shot of someone in what looks like half a robot costume. Could it be a very early glimpse of Ultron himself? Avengers: Age of Ultron is set for realise on 1 May 2015.
