Tuesday Link-A-Mania

A potential Lex for Man Of Steel 2, a confirmed airdate for Arrow season 2 and some Piratical chatter from Jerry Bruckheimer. It's Tuesday's Link-a-mania, ye swabs!

With Man Of Steel already hauling over $200 million at the US box office, all eyes are focused on the inevitable encore. Here's the big question, though - who's going to play Lex Luthor? Superman's chrome-domed nemesis is surely a cert for any sequel and latest word is that Britain's own Mark Strong may be the man in the frame. (via Cosmicbooknews )

Uber-producer Jerry Bruckheimer has spoken about his choice of directors for Pirates Of The Caribbean 5 . Kon-Tiki 's Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg will be helming Jack Sparrow's next rum-soaked escapade and Bruckheimer says "We saw their movie early on, maybe six months ago, and I saw some of their other work, which I thought was terrific... We showed them a script that we were working on and they had really amazing ideas." Bruckheimer confirms that Pirates 5 will shoot in Louisiana, suggesting that rumours that a voodoo-infused New Orleans will play a part in the story could be bang on the booty. (via The Playlist )

Yearning for Arrow ? The CW confirm that the Starling City defender will return to US screens on October 9. Star Stephen Amell teases that the second series will show "a growing world" for Oliver Queen. (Via Superherohype )

Finally, SFX has been unable to confirm persistent online rumours that the BBC's recent exodus from London's Television Centre has unearthed long-buried film cans containing up to 90 missing episodes of cult African SF series The Witch Doctor . Tales of an ancient juju curse placed on the series in the 1960s would appear to be unsubstantiated, however.
