True Grit's Hailee Steinfeld will be Forgotten

Paramount Pictures have recruited their True Grit breakout star Hailee Steinfeld to star in Forgotten .

It's no shock that she's in demand; her Oscar-nominated performance in her debut feature True Grit saw her profile sky-rocket overnight.

Forgotten , an adaptation of a forthcoming novel by Cat Patrick, is a teen romance with a hint of sci-fi.

Steinfeld will play the superbly named London Lane, a teenager whose memory is erased at 4:33 every night, meaning she's only able to remember events from her future.

Things change when she meets a boy at school and finds that she can't see him in her forward memories.

Hopefully Steinfeld's presence will mean this will be several cuts above the usual teen dross.

It's impossible to begrudge the 14-year-old her success after such a masterful performance in True Grit .

As no-nonsense Mattie Ross, she was precocious without being irritating, and acted as the emotional anchor for the whole movie. She also held her own admirably against mega-talents Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon.
