Total Film to present Nina Forever at Film4 FrightFest 2015

Total Film is delighted to announce that Nina Forever will be its sponsored movie at Film4 FrightFest.

The feature debut of the Blaine brothers, Ben and Chris, it follows supermarket shelf-stacker Rob (Cian Barry) as he tentatively begins to move on after the death of his girlfriend Nina (Fiona Shaughnessy). But as if entering a new relationship with Holly (Abigail Hardingham) is not daunting enough, the situation becomes stickier still when Nina reappears on the scene as a blood-slimed revenant.

Total Film’s Editor-at-Large Jamie Graham will be introducing Nina Forever before its showing on the Film4 screen at 3.30pm on Monday 31st August.

Graham says: “Total Film is delighted to be in its seventh year of partnership with Film4 FrightFest. We're always looking to sponsor a movie that is original and groundbreaking – previous choices include Monsters, Kill List, Berberian Sound Studio and The Babadook. Total Film is proud to present Nina Forever, which successfully treads a fine line between 'out there' fantasy and hardscrabble reality, black comedy and genuinely disturbing imagery. It is a startling debut, as affecting as it is daring.”

Alan Jones, Co-director of Film4 FrightFest, says: "Devastating in its honesty, striking in its eroticism and audacious with its gore, Nina Forever is a true blue British social-realist horror of the highest order. So it doesn't surprise me in the least that those keen arbiters of taste at Total Film have chosen it as their pick of the Film4 FrightFest crop."

Ben Blaine, co-director of Nina Forever says: “We’re utterly thrilled to be Total Film’s sponsored movie at FrightFest. We’ve been reading the magazine since the first edition so it’s a real privilege to have its support behind Nina Forever.”

Film4 FrightFest runs Thursday 27 August – Monday 31 August at the Vue West End, in Leicester Square. Tickets can be purchased here: http://www.frightfest.co.uk/tickets.html
