It is of course Los Angeles in Vamire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. Just look at all the crazy stuff that's happening all over that place.

Hey, Rogueport's pretty bad man. I mean, you get robbed within your first 5 minutes and are stuck at a shake down toll booth till you're strong enough to fight the guard. Pirates are everywhere, trash is abundant, the mob controls the casinos....(honestly i started this post as a joke on bright and cheery nintendo games but after typing that out holy damn rogueport is actually pretty lawless)

also there's a noose in the center of the town for public executions, which is kind of violent for a Mario game.

  • xelluse - November 15, 2014 1:37 p.m.

Agree... Top lawless cities and Saints Row isn't there... Strange as minimum...

As a lifelong Clevelander, I'm not sure I appreciate the comment in the opening paragraph. At first, it feels like a dig at this glorious, wondrous city of mine, but upon further reading it seems as though you're touting Cleveland as not having grimy alleys, abandoned houses, and drug dens, which, I can assure you, we have plenty of all of those things.
