Tomb Raider multiplayer announced

Square Enix has announced that its Tomb Raider reboot will feature a multiplayer mode for the first time in the series' history. But it's being developed separately by Eidos Montreal, allowing Crystal Dynamics to focus solely on the solo experience. Official Xbox Magazine US will have the first details, as detailed on the magazine's official site.

Eidos Montreal has also worked on Thief 4 and Deus Ex: Human Revolution, the latter of which scored a straight 5/5 at review. Ironically, we criticised it for not having a multiplayer mode. But Uncharted 2: Among Thieves proved that single-player action adventure games can have incredible multiplayer modes added on, so we'll be watching this one keenly.

As long as a seperate developer is working on it so Crystal Dynamics can focus on the solo then I am all for it.

Let's give it the doubt that Square Enix will do it right, sounds interesting.
