THQ has dropped heavy hints that a sequel in the Red Faction first-person shooter is on the future cards.
"When you think about fiscal 2009 and beyond, there are three important takeaways we would like to leave you with," CEO Brian Farrell said to analysts during a recent financial conference call, GameSpot reports. "One, THQ has established six owned franchises which have reached the million-unit mark and our pipeline is growing..."
Asked to name the six franchises, Farrell replied Red Faction, which he described as "my favorite", Destroy All Humans, MX, Stuntman, Juiced and Saints Row.
Although it's not confirmation that Red Faction 3 or other sequels are in development, it's surely only a matter of time before RF3 is announced.
