There's a new Ghostbusters game on the way (Slimer's face says it all)

Courtesy of USA Today (for some reason) we have a new Ghostbusters game. It looks like a 4 player co-op twin stick job, and while it's nothing really to do with the movie, it does come out 3 days before it on July 12th.

Here's the trailer:

It's described as a "four-player role-playing game" and will be coming to PS4, XB1 and PC. The set up sees a bunch of new characters called in to protect New York after the events of the film while the cast are "away taking down high-profile poltergeists across the country."

I can't say I'm hugely enthusiastic at this point. I like the look of catching and slamming ghosts with proton packs by the glimpses of more shooty stuff make me think this is going to be a bog standard arcade shooter with the Ghostbusters logo slapped on. So, a pretty standard film tie in then.

Seen something newsworthy? Tell us!
