“Bad Timing”
This is a case of a cliffhanger slightly being sullied by the fact that the resolution in the next episode (in this case the first part of the mini-series “The Peacekeeper Wars”) is a bit, um, silly. But taken in isolation, the final moments of Farscape’s final full season are harrowing indeed. Chatting in a dingy on a waterworld, Aeryn tells John that she’s pregnant (sort of… it’s complicated), and they decide to marry. But before there’s time to plan hen and stag nights, a flying craft appears and blows them into zillions of pieces. A once critic wrote at the time: "Fans will feel like they have been kicked in the chest when the credits roll…"
